Legislation that would have overhauled California’s tax code by taxing different kinds of professional services died this month after failing to pass out of a policy committee.
The author, Democratic Sen. Bob Hertzberg of Van Nuys, said in a brief note that he plans to reintroduce his bill.
“I am reintroducing it shortly and at the appropriate time will be introducing a substantially drafted measure,” he said in a text message, and was not available to elaborate.
