BART has cynically turned the service disruption at the end of the Bay Point line into a propaganda opportunity to promote its upcoming $3.5 billion bond measure.
Agency engineers have worked tirelessly for more than a week trying to determine the cause of voltage flashovers that are disabling train car propulsion systems. “This is a full-court press and we’re a little perplexed right now,” Paul Oversier, assistant general manager for operations, said Thursday.
